Chapter Lead Design – Nationale Nederlanden
My name is Jacco Nieuwland, a Dutch IA & UX professional with over 25 years of experience in these fields. After studying Information Technology and working as a developer for a couple of years, I learned that I enjoyed talking to people a lot more than talking to databases and in 1998 I had my first Information Architect job description.
I’ve always enjoyed making complex processes as intuitive as possible for people, making life a little bit easier for everyone involved. Working at EzGov and User Intelligence allowed me to do this for a wide range of clients. After six years of freelancing, I recently joined Nationale-Nederlanden as a Chapter Lead Design for NN Bank. In this role I will be mentoring and coaching other designers at NN, facilitating creative workshops and help out with complex design tasks.
I’ve been a part of the IA community for almost 20 years, visiting and presenting at a number of American and European IA conferences. It’s an honor to co-chair this year’s EuroIA in my hometown of Amsterdam and I hope that my co-chairs and I can make this another awesome experience for everyone involved!
