Birgit is a seasoned design leader who has been thriving in diverse global leadership roles in for-profit & nonprofit entities, across industries and cultures. She is the founder of Curious Bridges, an initiative that fosters constructive dialogues about human-centricity, inclusivity, and leadership in design and beyond.

With a strong belief in giving back, Birgit has been supporting the global design community in various leadership roles for over 15 years. She has served as a board member and director of local liaison for the Interaction Design Association (IxDA.org).

Birgit currently serves as the Head of Product UX Design at IKEA, where she leads a team of over 40 designers and researchers, creating a better everyday life for the many people.
