The public discourse regarding Human-centricity and Inclusivity within the design field and beyond is becoming increasingly fragmented. Polarizing and provocative statements are leading to less constructive dialogue, which is stifling the diverse voices and powerful movements aimed at doing good and building bridges.
As design professionals, we are well-versed in working with a human-centric approach. However, there is only a relatively small group of individuals who have publicly shared their success in implementing human-centered leadership principles.
This realization prompted me to launch an initiative where I interview leaders from various cultures and backgrounds in the design field. My goal is to explore and share different perspectives, encourage the exchange of ideas and a constructive dialogue that inspires positive change.
I firmly believe that effective leadership is pivotal in promoting a shift in perspective, empowering all voices, and cultivating large-scale positive change.
In my presentation, I will explore different leadership models, provide insights gathered from various perspectives, and share my personal experiences of implementing a people-focused approach to leadership and fostering collaboration.
